Who Am I?

Back Story –
Patricia Lynn Simcox is an honor student at Rydell High School in 1959. She lives just inside the city limits very near the suburbs. She has a younger brother, Walter, who is extremely smart. He is very into comics and geeky B-horror movies. Patty rejects her brother’s lifestyle and tries to put herself on a pedestal so no one will look down on her family. However, she loves and protects her little brother, hoping to be his role model and keep him out of trouble, no matter how annoying he might be.
She also had an older brother, Ernie a.k.a. “The Tongue,” who used to be the leader of the Flaming Dukes. He attended Rydell High a few years before Patty and the Greasers got there. At that time, Patty’s family was going through hard times, and they lived in the inner city. They were still better off however then most of the families in the area. After her brother’s accidental death in a drag race, Patty’s family moved closer to the outskirts of the city in an attempt to keep Patty and Walter out of trouble. Most people speculate “The Tongue” committed suicide after he found out he caught a bout of gonorrhea from “Chi-Chi” (pronounced “ki-ki”) DiGregorio, his girlfriend at the time. It turned out to be tonsillitis. The Simcox family rejects this story.
Patty always looked up to her older brother, and his death had a huge impact on Patty’s life. She hoped for a long time before Ernie’s death that he would change. He made promises to her mother but they never came through. Patty vowed to be a good role model for Walter so he wouldn’t follow in Ernie’s footsteps. Therefore, her relationship with the Pink Lady’s and the Burger Palace Boys is bitter-sweet. Filled with envy and loathing, she rejects the world the Pink Ladies live in, but she wants so much to be liked and accepted by them. Likewise, she is obsessed with Danny Zuko because he reminds her so much of “The Tongue.” She hopes to change him and prevent his inevitable demise.

Objectives –
Main Objective – Save Danny.
Act I Objective – Gain attention though the campaign, which later fails.
Lunch Room – Be seen with the Pink Ladies, boost campaign, befriend Sandy.
Hallway – Fit in with the Pink Ladies, make sure Sandy hasn’t been corrupted.
Cheer Scene – Hook Danny with your charm.
Act II Objective – Hold influence on Danny, get rid of Sandy.
High School Hop – Have some good clean fun!
Prom Scene – Cut lose, Push Danny over the edge.
Final Scene – Trash Sandy.

Statements to Remember –
Educated, hurt, needy, caring, always has an agenda, looking for something better, feels the need to help others, wants to be accepted, not your typical cheerleader.
